The connection between the Star of David and the Kabbalah
The cabalists believe that the Jewish Star is a secretive symbol of salvation which will come through the Messiah, who will be one of King David's descendants. In Messiah (Jessaiah) prophecy, a connection is mentioned between the six points of the David Star and the six titles Messiah gave King David.
A number of theological researchers are trying to explain the complexity of the David Star symbol.
Some claim that the three sides of the triangle symbolize the different parts of Israel's nation - Kohanim (Priests), Leviim (Levite ) and Israel. Others explain that the triangle's sides are integrated one into the other, in an inseparable way, like the Jews are connected to one another.
Another explanation is that both the top triangle as well as the bottom triangle of the David Star, symbolize the beginning and the end of the cabalistic tree. The top point of the Star of David is turned to the sky towards God, representing the crown sphere, and the lower triangle is turned down, representing the kingship sphere, our materialistic world.
The Star of David and the Messianic Jews
The Star of David has special meaning to many Messianic Jews. The Star of David is incorporated into the Messianic symbol of the menorah, Star of David, and fish all connected together. One interpretation of this symbol is that the menorah represents God (the light of God's glory) in Heaven above, the David Star represents Yeshua (Messiah) in Heaven at the right hand of God, and the fish represents us (man) on the earth below. A Messianic Jew sees the star (Yeshua) as being the "connection" between God and man. They believe that without Yeshua's blood as atonement for their sins, they would have not have the divine "connection" to God through His Ruach HaKodesh which comes to live inside them when they accept Yeshua as Messiah.
